Moving right along...

Super busy weekend. 2 days of garage sale and all morning today preparing for open house. Realtor said we had 2 serious potential buyers, a nosy neighbor, and another person who is selling her home a few miles away and just wanted to compare ours to hers. Sigh. So, not sure if anything will turn out, but we haven't even been on the market a week yet.

We met with NVR on Thursday to start that process, and hopefully no hiccups along the way.

Heard from our sales rep late yesterday afternoon that we can't have wine fridge installed because the places it could go needs to be supported by the cabinets that are there. Ugh! Also, she stated that there was no partial stone/brick combo offered on any elevation, but after going back and looking at numbers again, it's really only a little less than $3k to do full stone on elevation C. Still considering it, but I know that we will spend more money on flooring when we finally have that meeting, so I'm not gonna commit just yet.

On a positive note, although there is no Verona model near us, there is one being built close by that we were able to go see. They close in about a week, so a lot of stuff is done. It was so reassuring to see it and realize how much we loved it. They also had many of the upgrades we chose, so made it even better. I really hope our house sells fast, because I am ready to move! :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

  1. The Verona is the model in our neighborhood. It's a beautiful house! I'm glad you have one near by you can walk through (for now anyway until they move in. lol)

I'm glad things are coming along. GL with your house!

  3. Strange about the NO to adding the wine frig instead of a cabinet...cracks me up when they make silly statements like the cabinet needs to be there to hold up something...unless it is the very end cabinet it is no different then having a dishwasher. Dishwashers don't support the counters...
